Families attend Senior Parent Information Night as a school counselor presents college and career planning resources.

Sussex Central High School’s School Counseling Department hosted Senior Parent Information Night for the Class of 2027 on Thursday, September 24. Families learned about college admissions, scholarship opportunities, local trades and training programs, and military pathways.

A representative from Stand By Me also shared information about financial aid and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The slides include graduation requirements, college application steps, scholarships and financial aid, trade and workforce training options, military information, and upcoming dates and resources.

Upcoming FAFSA help

Stand By Me will return to Sussex Central for a FAFSA completion workshop on Tuesday, November 10, from 4:30–6:30 p.m. Families can also schedule FAFSA assistance at uwde.org/fafsa.
