About the Director
GreesonMr. Nicholas Greeson has been the Director of Bands at Sussex Central since 2012. He brings with him high school band experience from New Jersey and Maryland. Mr. Greeson received his Bachelor of Music at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, one of the finest collegiate band and music education programs in the Northeast. He studied classical and jazz saxophone, french horn, and was a mellophone soloist in the 2002 Golden Rams Marching Band. During that time he was also a member and mellophone soloist of the Drum Corps Associates World Champion Reading Buccaneers from 2000-2002 and 2005.

In 2013, Mr. Greeson received his Masters Degree in Instrumental Conducting from the highly regarded American Band College program of Sam Houston State University. Here he worked with clinicians and conductors at the pinnacle of the worldwide band field and continued his study in instrumental pedagogy; the best practices in teaching each and every wind and percussion instrument.

He has been an enlisted member of the US Army Reserve band program since 1996, performing nationwide on saxophone, flute, clarinet, french horn, and vocals. He also is a member of the Dover Symphony Orchestra and the Rehoboth Concert Band.
